Something a little different...

I was just contemplating album covers and how they used to be a showcase for new ideas and art forms. These days so many of them look and feel the same. Anyway, I thought I'd have a go and see if I could come up with something for the Green Day album 'Warning'. It may look a little odd but each image is referencing a track on the CD. The inflatable child is from the Macy's Day Parade- in case you were wondering!

While this is an excellent job Vicki, I"d have to disagree with you about today's album covers. Usually every week I feature a some fairy recent cover work at my blog--stop by when you get a chance. There's some amazing stuff out there! Have you ever thought about doing one for somebody?

Okay Steve, I take back some of what I said. I think I was perhaps referring to new, mainstream album covers. I didn't mean to insult anyone anyway!

I'd love to do some album cover design, I'm just waiting for someone to ask me!

Heya V, nice cover, impressed by the baby looking so baby-like, it's hard to get their heads the right shape. Writing an email to Andy and I dropped by to check that I remembered ur addy for the Greenhouse correctly. I have one reaction though just off the top of my head -- have you tried the "Green Day" text a little larger? There's something going on with that blue space that I can't quite put my finger on. Lots of love to you mi compadre!
