Illustration Friday- 'Speed'

The jet propelled ThrustSSC reached a speed of 1,227 km/h on October 15th 1997. It was the first land vehicle to break the sound barrier and was built by a British team. Incredible huh?

It is cold, wet and windy in Edinburgh today so I'd recommend staying indoors. I went out to buy some butter and teabags and lost all feeling in my ears and my forehead. I also forgot to take my umbrella...

I love the looseness of your work. It's so honest.

It's the same weather here in Northern VA right now as well and I got caught walking around town in it (had two more miles 'til I got home). Anyhow, this is a way cool illo and tidbit of info here.

Just think, if you had taken the ThrustSSC, you'd have been back almost before you knew you had left! Sorry about the rainy cold weather...I do hope it warms up soon! Your drawing has a sense of fun to it...I like the freeform pattern you make with the words.
